By Using the Reset button

Reset using the reset button is quite easy and quick, following the steps below:

  • Identify the reset / restore key at the back of the amped wireless range extender.
  • Press and hold the reset button for about ten seconds, using a straightened paper clip or pin, and then release the reset button.
  • Wait a few minutes until the LED light begins blinking, which means that your Amped wireless range extender has been restored to its factory default settings.

By Using the web interface

To reset the amp wireless range extender over the web network, you need to log in to amped wireless access point login.

  • Go to www.setup.ampedwireless.com (access point login) via a web browser. 
  • Enter your default login details to access the admin page of the amped wireless range extender.
  • Go to More Settings and choose Management.
  • Click Save / Reload Settings under Management and click Reset Settings on the Default tab to restore the amped wireless range extender to the factory settings.

Steps to open an amped wireless range extender’s web menu if it is not open using www.setup.ampedwireless.com:

  • Make sure your computer is connected to the wifi network of your range extender.
  • Make sure you're using the new and working browser. If you are still facing problems, try setting up a new browser (recommended: Google Chrome) or try to close and re-open the same window.
  • Use the default IP address 192.168.1.240 to access the login page rather than the web address setup.ampedwireless.com.
  • Attempt to power cycle the Amped wireless range extender.
